Thailand Car Parking Neutral

In Thailand, it's common practice for people to park in a way that blocks other cars, especially in crowded areas like markets, shopping centers, and small streets. However, instead of locking their car in place, they leave it in neutral gear (for manual cars) or without the parking brake engaged (for automatics), allowing others to push their car aside if needed.

This is considered a normal and polite way to maximize parking space. If you see a car parked in front of yours, you can usually check if it's in neutral and gently push it out of the way. However, this practice mainly works with lighter cars and flat surfaces—it's not as easy on hills! 🚗
